Stagmatoptera femoralis (2nd instar) 3 x nymphs
Stagmatoptera femoralis is a species of praying mantis in the genus Stagmatoptera. This genus consists of 14 known species of mantises in the subfamily Stagmatopterinae, that inhabit the Neotropical region.
They are characterized for having a central, circular spot on each forewing. Females are a stunning shade of vibrant yellow, and can reach 9-12cm. Males are a no-less stunning ‘electric’ blue/green colour, and a smaller than the females, reaching ~6-7cm in length.
