I got my orchid mantis as my first mantis ever, not having owned any pets for a couple of years now. They are not recommended for beginner mantis owners, however, I have plenty of experience controlling environments because of my years of experience growing plants indoors, where dialling in temperature, humidity and airflow is imperative. Anyway, I could NOT be any happier with my Orchid mantis, Rocky, that I got from Mitch at theprayingmantis/Unseen Universe. I love Rocky so much, he is such a beautiful intelligent creature and arrived healthy and as happy as possible having been in the dark in the mail for a while! He was happy to enjoy some fruitflies straight away on my desk as soon as I unboxed him. Over a few days of having him his confidence has definitely grown when it comes to me interacting with him and putting my hands near him/touching him. When I first had him he over the first 2-3 days he would run away a few steps when I touched him, these days he knows I won't hurt him and just turns around like "u wot m8", he has a wonderful personality. Thank you SO much, Mitch, for breeding these creatures and allowing people like me to interact with them and experience caring for one. I will definitely be buying more mantises from your website in the future.
