I've kept mantids for over a decade now. In my opinion, they are the best pets out there with their stunning variety and interesting characters. Over the years I've purchased from many different breeders, shows and pet shops, but none have come close to providing the overall quality of service that Mitch has. The dispatch was as fast as humanly possible, with excellent packaging and a postage cost that was and is substantially cheaper than most other sellers of exotics. Communication has been excellent every time I've had queries, fast and helpful. As far as the products themselves, I found it helpful that some supplementary items such as the containers with ventilated lids are available cheaply, so there is little need to buy bits and pieces from elsewhere. I'm often very surprised at the variety of nymphs for sale, sometimes I've never heard of the species. I tend to buy 5-10 at a time and Mitch kindly added an extra or two in each order in case of a death in transit. Thankfully the nymphs are clearly well looked after and all have arrived in perfect health. The orchids I bought were even sexed so I know I have a mixture, which is excellent as I've had experiences in the past where breeders seemed to be selling off exclusively males without disclosing this fact. Going the extra mile seems the norm at ThePrayingMantis, so I can't see myself buying from anyone else in the future.
